Sicko (2007) is a critically acclaimed movie, nominated for an Academy Award for Documentary Feature, and has a 91% Rotten Tomatoes rating, and aims to explain why "U.S. Health Care [is] Ranked Worst in the Developed World" (Time, 2014), despite spending two times per capita on health care than most other developed countries. The documentary magnifies the problems faced by following specific patients, as well as placing the spotlight on larger organisations, and even the US government. Even if problems facing the US may not be your primary interest, there are lessons we can all learn from the faults of the most influential player in our world today.
Hope to see you there!
