What does it mean to be a feminist in 2017? How do we think about sexism and misogyny in Australia? And how do we, as young people, fight back and make change?

The UMSU Women's Department is delighted to kick off our 2017 speaking program with words of wisdom from Van Badham. Come and enjoy some pizza and soft drink while Van helps us answer the big questions about gender and politics.

About Van: Van Badham is a theatre-maker and novelist, occasional broadcaster, critic and feminist. She is vice-president of the MEAA, Victoria. She writes columns for the Guardian and lives in Melbourne.

(Please note that this is not an autonomous event and men are welcome, but respectful behaviour is expected)
