Documentary Screening - Visions of the Future: Get ready for our first event of Semester 2 2016! We will be having a relaxing social get together to watch an interesting documentary in Week 3. Come along to make new friends or bring existing ones too.

This documentary was aired on the BBC Four television channel. The series stars theoretical physicist and futurist Michio Kaku as he documents cutting edge science. This episode focuses mainly on recent advances in genetics and biotechnology. Amongst other things Kaku documents advances in DNA screening, gene therapy and lab-grown organ transplants. Viewing time: 1 hour.

This is a great documentary for anyone who is an expert in the subject, right through to a complete beginner - undergraduate or postgradute.

There will be free popcorn and drinks, and everyone is welcome to bring along their own snacks as well

We are also still interested in hearing what else our members would like to see from us this semester, so look forward to speaking with some of you then!

Members: Free, Non-Members: $2 sign-up for remainder of 2016.

Please arrive from 5.15 for a 5.30 start.

Thanks for your interest and we look forward to seeing you soon,
your MBC committee
