In this presentation, Tony will outline the true cause of the recent South Australian power outage that resulted in a ‘SA region Black System’. Tony will be discussing the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) preliminary operating report into the incident which was issued on Wednesday 5th October along with the updated report that is expected to be issued on Wednesday 19th October. This presentation will also be an excellent opportunity to hear first-hand what role, if any, renewable energy generation contributed to the outage.

Following the technical presentation, the EESA Victorian Chapter AGM will be held, with a quick review of the year followed by the election of the 2017 committee. If you are keen to make a difference to the Victorian power industry, we encourage you to attend and nominate for a committee position and contribute to the delivery of high-quality CPD programs. Not only will you be recognised for your leadership role, you will also be contributing to the success of our organisation.

The evening will conclude in time for those attending the Electrical College Awards Night later that evening,
