Hey there FilmSocers,

This week we have the auspicious honour of collaborating with the Melbourne University Italian Social Club (MUISC) to present to you:

Roman Holiday (1953, William Wyler)

Filmed on site and staring the renowned Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck, Roman Holiday tells the tale of bored and sheltered princess Ann (Audrey Hepburn) and her wild and impetuous journey through Rome. The film would go on to win a number of accolades more notably the Academy Award for Best Actress, Screenplay, and Costume design. The film would also later be preserved in the US national film registry as being “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.”

Being a collaboration with the Italian Social Club, we felt it would only make sense to have copious amounts of Italian food to enjoy while watching the film. This includes food platters of meats, cheeses and breads, Italian soft drink, Italian biscuits, and of course the customary Film Society pizzas.

So come along and bring your friends and we will see you there!

As always, make sure to click attending on the Facebook event so that we have an appropriate amount of food for everyone.
