Hi FilmSocers!

We're very excited to get back into the swing of things, because the arrival of a new semester means more films, pizza, drinks and good times for all of us. And to get us back into our weekly routine, we will be screening the 60s classic:

COOL HAND LUKE (Rosenberg, 1967)

Hollywood heartthrob Paul Newman stars as the titular character who has been sentenced to two years in a rural Florida prison but refuses to conform to system. Luke's bravado in the face of authorities turns him into a rebel hero to his fellow prisoners, but an annoyance to the wardens.

Nominated for several Academy Awards and one of the greatest lines in cinema history, COOL HAND LUKE is the perfect film to start the semester, which can not be missed.

As usual, there will be FREE pizza and drinks provided! Come early as this is our first screening and the theatre will fill up quickly.

Bring your friends and see you all there!

Warm Regards,
Melbourne University Film Society
