Hi Filmsocers!

This week we are very excited to be screening the British crime drama:

TRAINSPOTTING (Boyle, 1996)

Heroin addict Mark Renton (Ewan McGregor) stumbles through life in Edinburgh with his circle of unreliable friends and underage girlfriend. When he moves to London in an attempt to clean up he discovers that he may not be able to escape the life he left behind.

Ranked as one of the best British films of all times, TRAINSPOTTING explores the themes of drug addiction and urban poverty. This film is a modern classic that should not be missed, especially since the sequel is coming out soon!

As usual, there will be FREE pizza and drinks provided!

Bring your friends and see you all there!

Warm Regards,
Melbourne University Film Society

Friday 5th August, 2pm.
