When:
16 March, 2017

Location:
ROUNDS - ND Rural Health Organisation

Organised by:
Rural Health Organisation of the University of Notre Dame, Sydney (ROUNDS)

Notre Dame students,
Join us on the 16th March, 12pm in the Darlinghurst Courtyard to show your support for Close the Gap.
**Bring a Gold coin donation and sign the Pledge!**
ROUNDs will be hosting a BBQ and some other fun activities to show that we are pledging to Close the Gap, as future health professionals and members of the Australian community.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people can expect to live 10–17 years less than other Australians. Babies born to Aboriginal mothers die at more than twice the rate of other Australian babies, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people experience higher rates of preventable illness such as heart disease, kidney disease and diabetes.

Is this the Australia you want? With your help we aim to close this health gap and achieve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health equality within a generation.

The Close the Gap Coalition — a grouping of Indigenous and non-Indigenous health and community organisations — together with nearly 200,000 Australians is calling on governments to take real, measurable action to achieve Indigenous health equality by 2030.
