Hi there,

I graduated from QUT in December 2020 with a double degree in social work and psychology – both with distinction. I received 7's for all of my social work subjects during the last 3 years and have received 2 Deans List Award (Semester 2 2018 and 2020). To achieve a Dean's list award you must achieve a GPA of 6.5 or above over the course of a full time semester.

I have been praised for my writing skills with comments such as this one from assignment markers "Be proud what you have achieved is not small feat. I really hope you can celebrate this. I strongly encourage you to pursue critical reflection as a research method and sign up for a PHD in the future".

I have an ability to explain complex social work and psychological theories, concepts, and terminology in simple terms and I am able to formulate these theoretical concepts into essays and research papers that are succinct and comprehensive. These theories include critical theories, systems, neo-liberal, attachment, developmental, behaviourism, and counselling.

My degree in psychology has given me strong writing skills due to psychology's strict writing standards and focus on small details, allowing me to quickly edit assignments that flow better, are succinct, strongly convey your message, and are formatted/referenced correctly.

I have extensive experience with APA 7 referencing, qualitative and quantitative research, writing literature reviews, case study assignments, oral presentations, persuasive writing, and writing practice frameworks.

I have also completed both social work placements with 7's and can offer guidance, mentoring, and theoretical tutoring for any aspect of your placement journey.

I also currently work as a social worker within Queensland Health as a youth mental health case worker and have been employed here for 1 year. This is a highly clinical setting which has given me experience in mental health including diagnosis, treatment, formulation writing, counselling young people and families, and working alongside social workers and psychologists. This role has given me extensive practical experience and knowledge about systems issues, family complexity, child safety, mental health, youth work, socioeconomic disadvantages, structural issues within organisations, and social work ethics.

Please reach out if you would are in need of any academic support :)
