Hi everyone!

My name is Taisia (Taya) Katsman, and I am currently in my third year of Bachelor of Arts with an Extended Major in Psychology and a now finished minor in Japanese.

I am very passionate about and interested in psychology which is why I would like to help anyone seeking some guidance and advice! I am also able to tutor Russian as I am a native Russian speaker.

With psychology, I would say I have a good grasp of basic statistics and have achieved a cumulative grade of 6.3 for all stats subjects in psychology (PSYC1040, PSYC2010, PSYC3010, and PSYC3020). I am able to help with assignment formatting and general guidelines, explaining and going through concepts in statistics, as well as tips on taking good notes and preparing for quizzes.

I also have a very keen interest in social and abnormal psychology, so will be more than happy to help you prepare for any exams, quizzes or general assignments.

As far as my grades go, I currently have a 6.1 cumulative GPA for all of the subjects I have studied, so I am definitely qualified to help you with your queries you may have.

Furthermore, as a native Russian speaker, I am happy to provide tutoring for any Russian courses offered at UQ, from beginner to advanced level. I can help with pronunciation, writing, and vocabulary pick-up. I can also provide useful tips for preparing for both written and oral exams, as I have a good understanding of language testing through studying Japanese. I have also been tutoring Russian casually for the past 2 years, so I have gained a good understanding of what techniques work best for my students.

My teaching style is quite relaxed and I will try and work with you to explain concepts and structures of courses in ways that are the easiest for you to understand. I will be patient and enthusiastic to share any knowledge I may have and will always be open to continuous feedback.

I am able to tutor at uni or in the city, as both of these locations are easy to access for me.

If this sounds like something you'd be keen to learn from me, please let me know. :) I'm looking forward to tutoring you!
