UniMelb Health Tutor Magdalene
Hi, I'm Magdalene! VERY RESPONSIVE
I'm a UniMelb student studying Health.
My name's Mag, and I'm a present Masters of Psychology (Clinical Neuropsychology) student at the University of Melbourne.
I'll be totally upfront: I did not pursue an undergraduate degree at the University of Melbourne, but I did do a UK-accredited Bachelors degree (with honours) back home in Malaysia. I have won various scholastic awards during my tertiary study, graduated top of my undergraduate + honours class, and went on to secure a job as a full-time tutor / research assistant within the Department of Psychology at my alma mater. My reviews as a tutor back home were great, so I'm hoping that standard carries over here as well!
I'm really chill - both as a person and in my teaching style! I'm happy to go over course content you may need a little help with, skim through readings, proofread assignments (yes, that includes looking over your APA formatting!) as well as offer suggestions on them.
I have particular strengths and experience in the following areas of psych:
1. Introductory Psych Principles
2. Research Methods
6. Cognitive Psych
However, I have a keen interest in most areas of psychology, and pretty much kept my grades up, all across the board. Just let me know what you need help with, and I'll prep for it accordingly / give you an honest take on whether or not I have the competency needed to help!
I'm cool meeting up somewhere on campus if you prefer a face-to-face session. Alternatively, I'm totally open to the idea of a Skype session, if that works better for you. Personally, I feel these would be the most conducive options for a study session, but if really preferred, I could discuss the possibility of meeting up somewhere public in the CBD / the general Brunswick area. I'm sure we could work out the logistics!
If you're aiming to do a bit of group study, I'm also open to the idea of tutoring groups. Just hmu, and we can work an arrangement out. :)
I've had Mag as a tutor for quite a few of my third year psychology subjects - and words cannot describe how amazing she is! Whether its clarifying a difficult concept or editing an essay - she can pick up any idea quickly and work with you to get you an amazing score. She is the reason why I've been getting H1s all semester and am forever grateful for her. More than this, her really approachable, kind and understanding nature makes her an amazing tutor. She will be the best decision you make for your education and I can assure you, you wont regret it!
