A little about me. I am a PhD student researching the long term impact of Cane Toads on Australia's native predators. My main interests fall broadly across biology, though I specialise in invasion ecology, animal behaviour and statistics. I also have a passion for all things botanical, particularly at the cellular level (how amazing!). I achieved a high distinction average in undergrad/honours and was the recipient of the University Medal. I have published papers in my current field of invasion biology, and I have publications in invertebrate ecology and science education.
I am currently a demonstrator for BIOL1006 (Life and Evolution) and BIOL2/3010 (Introduction to tropical ecology).
How can I help you?
I have a thorough understanding of undergraduate biology, not only in the subjects I demonstrate but right across the biology curriculum. My teaching style is relaxed and informal. You will learn best when you're least stressed! I can also walk you through any of the statistics you are likely to encounter at an undergraduate level (T-test, ANOVA, MANOVA, linear regression, spatial statistics etc).
