Reviews

Interesting content BUT very heavy content with most of the content for the exam in the readings rather than the lectures.

Interesting unit for the most part - fairly basic content, particularly if you'd completed VCE psychology.

Very interesting subject

Top first psychology unit. Very interesting and a good start to psychology studies

Awesome first psych unit. Excellent eLa. Learning material and reading was very manageable.

Content was pretty good, gives you a nice tester of what kind of stuff you'll be looking at in later years and provides a good foundation to build on for later subjects. Has a REP program where you can earn extra credit, would 10/10 recommend doing that cause it bumped me up an entire grade. Exam wasn't too hard, multiple choice when I did it. Just need to make sure you stay up to date with readings.

One of my favourite units so far, helped also by a truly awesome eLA, Glen Van Der Vyver. It's quite heavy on reading content but for those with a curious mind about what makes us humans tick, you'll love it too. The only slight niggle was that the Theory of Planned Behaviour assignment was very heavy and didn't seem to fit well with all the other content. It did however test the pre-requisite understanding of statistics!! I'd have preferred something that required you to make sense of the readings, to help them be better absorbed.
