15 September, 2015

A'Beckett Urban Square, RMIT University

Organised by:

A massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal in April, causing devastation on a terrifying scale. While the main catastrophe of the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that killed more than 8,000 people and left 2,000,000 people homeless, appear to be over. What many don’t realise is that even months after the disaster, people are still struggling to recover from the earthquake; with thousands still fending for themselves and living off tarp, food and water handouts from aid agencies.

Our aim is to raise at least $400 on behalf of OXFAM for the emergency appeal that will go to the people of these communities, but any amount beyond that will be amazing.

WHAT: A BBQ Fundraiser to help raise money for the victims of the Nepal Earthquake.
WHEN: Tuesday, 15th September, 11:30AM-4:00PM.
WHERE: A'Beckett Urban Square (next to the basketball courts).
WHY: It may not seem like much, but the profit from your $2 sausage can make a difference to the people who are down on their luck and really need the help. Some have lost their family, the lucky ones have lost only their homes and the really unfortunate ones have lost both.

Please show your support by sharing this event on your Facebook page, with your friends and spread the word. By attending this fundraiser or encouraging others to donate, you’ll help provide lifesaving emergency aid like clean water, sanitation and shelter.
