5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book and valuable reference in aviation!
Format: HardcoverVerified PurchaseExcellent book for any one interested to learn about airline industry. It is well-written by some of highly respected experts in the aviation field, and comprehensive that almost cover every aspect relate to this highly specialized field. I read the first edition of this book, but this edition includes chapters about aviation and the environment, and IT in aviation operations, which are great additions. The amount of information the authors are providing is huge, and as you read the book, you'll learn many insights on the aviation and airline industry.
In summary, it is a great book and valuable reference that I think any aviation scholar, professional, and enthusiast should have. It's worth every penny and I highly recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good perspective for engineering students and practitioners
Format: HardcoverVerified PurchaseThe text provides concise and clear panorama and insights on airline operations. This are specially valuable to give context to commercial aircraft operation for any aspiring or practicing engineer with an interest in aviation.
4/5 stars since in my personal opinion I found a bit annoying that the authors were constantly citing themselves and spent a couple of pages describing their own research, which sometimes felt a bit forced. Also data is a bit outdated (its from 2013).
