- Reviewed in Australia on 4 December 2021Format: HardcoverVerified PurchaseVery happy with the dictionary. I have found it useful and contemporary for home use and as a tool for Law School studies (University). Heck if it is good for Justices of the High Court it has to be okay for me.
I do use it in combination with a copy of the Australian Concise Oxford Dictionary (6th ed.) as I find the variation in definitions is helpful with my studies and at times providing clarity.
- Reviewed in Australia on 18 March 2023Verified PurchaseNothing to dislike about it
- Reviewed in Australia on 2 March 2023Verified PurchaseI bought this on recommendation but I thought it was going to be an easy read. It's not. Simply too long, overly dense, and little to no character development. I honestly couldn't even work out who I was rooting for. If I were you I would stump for the audiobook version and work through it on long public transport trips.

- Reviewed in Australia on 13 November 2020Verified PurchaseA stunning large format concise Australian dictionary, an absolute beauty.
- Reviewed in Australia on 15 September 2022Verified PurchaseI upgraded from the 6th edition to the 8th edition but I have been very disappointed as many definitions are missing. For example, in a book published in Australia, the author wrote: "investment is his wheelhouse."
I had to look up the internet to find that wheelhouse means "an area of expertise". This is not an isolated example.
