5.0 out of 5 stars 5 stars for both book and also for Shakespeare's wonderful tale

This version is slightly basic in some respects in that it's (obviously) aimed for use in schools, but it contains the `original text in Shakespeare's language', but with some of the more obscure words explained on the facing pages.

I love Lady Macbeth. Her strengths, and later weaknesses are written so well. I like the way that Shakespeare (in the plays that I've read so far, anyway) writes strong female characters, and I find that quite ironic seeing as women weren't allowed to act in the plays at the time because it would be 'disgusting' to see a woman act!

An honourable mention must go to The Weïrd Sisters and Hecate simply for the delivery of their lines and the wonderful imagery that they conjure up! Their incantations are just wonderful!

This book is to be highly recommended for students who think that Shakespeare is difficult - his words really aren't, and this will help.

This is the first Shakespeare that I've attempted to read on my own (I've only ever `done' Shakespeare in a class situation before a few years ago as a mature student) though and it's definitely encouraged me to read more. I already have the same editions of Twelfth Night and Hamlet on my bookcase that I've been putting off but I will definitely pick them up at some stage now!

This book was in excellent condition when it arrived. It also arrived earlier than predicted. The book itself is simply amazing and has notes to help you understand what is going on in the story if you are not use to that type of language. All in all, I am thoroughly please with the timing and quality of this book.
