Extremely well written book
Reviewed in the United States on 31 December 2022Verified Purchase
Extremely well written book. Does not oversimplify but does not try to write in a grandiose way that causes one to spend more time in the dictionary than the book itself (said as someone with an excellent vocabulary but you know what some textbooks can be like)! Very logically laid out, presented very clearly and in a perfect blend of a formal discipline but almost informal communication, so that it's like having a friendly discussion with a very intelligent and helpful group of people. I also love that it does not push any particular viewpoint or agenda but presents numerous viewpoints and theories impartially, thoroughly and clearly. Really appreciate the writers and editors, thank you for creating such an extremely helpful text!

Excellent textbook introduction to the complexity of world politics

Not easy reading, but a well-rounded discussion of political theory and institutions, reflecting and explaining the differing views among its three authors as well as among well known theorists and practitioners of the political arts.
