Quick reference for math learners of all ages
Reviewed in the United States on 30 November 2019Verified Purchase
This book's simple, reader-friendly definitions make tricky math terms accessible to math learners of all ages. I've used it with my elementary-age, middle-school, and high-school age children at home. And, as a math educator, I've used the book with preservice teachers (college elementary education majors) to refresh memories about math ideas they may have forgotten. The books includes lots of pictures, diagrams, and fun facts about math. It's a great resource, and I highly recommend it!

Simple and Efficient Math dictionary
Reviewed in the United States on 21 August 2013Verified Purchase
For my GED classroom this is the perfect dictionary. Students can look up vaguely remembered math terms and refresh their memories. The students are not dependent on the teacher for every bit of information. They pass this book around the class and enjoy reading it! The book contains simple explanations and great visuals that allow my students to learn math terminology on their own. Then we can begin to apply it in the classroom.

One of my kids has always struggled with math. After I bought them this book it really helped her and helped her to pass an important test. She is a lot more confident with math and math terms. She has thanked me for the book more than once.
