5.0 out of 5 stars Clearly written for the everyday student!

I am currently reading this for my Substance Abuse course and it is very informative and well-written. Some other reviews complained about it being dull or boring, but I think otherwise. This textbook is not overly complicated and the chapters are clearly organized. It will cover every drug and has summaries at the end to really help you make sure you have a concrete understanding of each chapter. Chances are you are buying this as a required textbook, but it will still be helpful in your coursework.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great textbook

I using this textbook in my Drugs In Society class at Boston University and it does cover a lot of territory.

It's easy to understand and it illustrates how all drugs can affect your life. And I especially liked how it included things like caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol. A lot of people tend to believe since they're legal that it's not a drug. Good book.

If you need it for a class, it's very student friendly.

Information is great. However, the copy I received was just loose hole punched paper, and i had to then go buy a file to put "book" in.

The actual book was really packed with some of the greatest information especially if you are new to the subject matter. Also, I liked that it had review questions in the end which helped to enhance my learning. Unfortunately, my rental was not int he best condition and within 2 class uses, the entire paper pages came apart from the bookbinder and so I didn't carry the book with me anymore. didn't change though how much I loved the reading material.
