The experiments in this book are easy to follow and the cd that comes with it provides information, questions, and quizzes to help understand what is happening. I wish it went into a bit more detail about why things were happening the way they did but the simulations were still very helpful to support our lectures.

I had ordered the textbook and lab book combination. I live in a gated community apartment, and UPS usually ships packages to our address, leaves them in the front office, and leaves a note on our apt. door letting us know our shipment came in. I just happened to be leaving my place when the UPS truck came by, and saw that instead of leaving the package in the front office, they shoved it under my doormat...like that would make it discreet from neighbors or theft. Also, the box containing both books was severely damaged; I honestly do not know how it even held together to carry the books by the time it got to me. It seemed as though it had been opened previously, as I barely had to lift a flap to the cardboard box's top for it to come right open. There were holes in the box on the sides as well. This damage to the box also bent the corner of the lab booklet badly and the textbook was also crushed in its corners. Other than that, the actual textbook is very resourceful. Reading its chapters for my advanced physiology honors class helped me get an A.
