The 2014 print paperback by Pearson seems to be of strangely poor quality. The appearance of the print quality looks as though it is a manufactured fake, perfectly readable, but poor for the publisher's printing standards, giving off a black-and-white office photocopy machine feel. The book begins in the first chapter by mentioning the Foreword, but of course the Foreword is not actually included in the book.

I want to point out the print quality of the book: it's printed digitally, and this is common for many books of this category, but the quality is very bad. The edge of the letters are not clear, blurred and bleeded. There is a black sprayed noise everywhere and the solid area are really not uniform. The font used is serifed and very small: it's hard to read for hours.
For that price, I expected a book with a better printing quality.

I used this book for one of my undergrad classes.

The actual subject matter is pretty middle of the road, half the people i know liked, the other half didn't. The book does a good job of presenting the concepts in a clear and logical manner and is pretty easy to follow. I would recommend it to anyone who wishs to learn more about signal processing as it was essential for me to learn the material in class, as well as providing me with a good reference for use later in my undergrad career.
