About the author

I have enjoyed being a professional author for many years and being part of the team for textbook "Medical Terminology for Health Professions" is a very special undertaking for me. By working together, and with the support of our publisher, Carol and I have established a creative synergy that has enabled us to achieve our two main goals for this book.
Our primary goal is to enable students to learn medical terms as easy and effectively as possible. We do this through organizing the text by body systems, emphasizing word parts, and generously using full color illustrations. Additional aids, that accommodate varied learning styles, are included in the StudyWARE CD. Here, through a variety of formats, and games, learning fun becomes more fun.
Our second goal, which is of equal importance, is to assist instructors by providing them with quality learning aids. (1) "The Instructors Manual" includes classroom activities, such as "medical mysteries," quizzes, and tips for teachers. (2) Power Points presentations reinforce terms and can be used to correct textbook exercises in class. (3) Animations clarify content and add interest. (4) The Computerized Test Bank speeds creation by the instructor of quality tests. (5) An audio CD is a valuable aid to teach students correct pronunciations of complex terms.
We welcome suggestions from students and teachers as to additional ways in which the book came be made even more user friendly.

I meant to get the course book, not the "work book" but in the end it all turned out well. This book is excellent for giving you more practice with medical terms. The main book also has review questions so it's up to you if you want this one. I was going to return it but seeing the good in getting the wrong book and how helpful it actually is, I decided to keep it. :)
Hope this helped!

The only negative I have about it is that a lot of the times little white pieces of paper fell out of it after using it a lot. Not a flaw by Amazon, all my classmates had this issue and they got it from different places.
But if you are interested or stuyding, this is the best. And Amazon always has the best delivery time, even with the super savings!

Totally Satisfied.
