There is a newer edition of this item:
Reading EEGs: A Practical Approach focuses on pattern recognition and pattern comparison. The concepts of pattern recognition are developed in a logical fashion based on appearance rather than disease process. The book teaches waveform recognition so that the reader can generate a differential diagnosis based on that recognition. This book also incorporates a question-and-answer format that is effective for students at multiple levels of training. A unique feature of the book is that it follows a teaching methodology in which concepts are developed sequentially and logically.

Excellent EEG Book
Reviewed in the United States on 14 February 2012Verified Purchase
This book is wonderful. I love the ways that it explains the technical aspects of EEG's. This book really helps me understand phase reversals, montages, and pattern recognition in a more in depth manner. I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to learn more about EEG's and are wanting to study for their EEG boards.

This books explains EEG basics and complicated normal variations very effectively.
Lots of pictures, but they are in black and white. my instructors were surprised to find it was cheaper than expected.
