Einfach geschrieben, man kann das Buch locker ohne ständige Vokabelsuche lesen und verstehen. Die großen Ideologien haben alle ihr eigenes ausführliches Kapitel. Wichtige Vertreter werden genannt, wichtige Ereignisse auch. Für die die sich in Politik auskennen, wird einiges nicht neu und daher überflüssiger Lesestoff sein, für Laien ist es aber umso besser, dass Rückbezug auf historische Entwicklungen genommen und diese erklärt un in Zusammenhang gebracht werden. Der Autor ist renommiert und daher ist das Buch auch als Quelle in Arbeiten verwendbar.
