This Kindle Version is Awful: DO NOT BUY!!!
Reviewed in the United States on 14 October 2020Verified Purchase
First, the book doesn't contain page numbers that coincide with the printed book. This is a real pet peeve for educational researchers who need to reference pages when taking classes with students who have the printed textbook. The biggest issue is that the formulas in the Kindle Version are mostly wrong. Anywhere there is a formula that carries a division symbol or line to signify a division in the formula, it is MISSING!!! Square root symbols also are not present when they should be. This Kindle version is so bad I had to buy the printed textbook to be sure that I wasn't missing anything. As much as I like Kindle Textbooks, this one should be taken down by the manufacturer/publisher. I can't get my money back because of the Kindle download. Shameful that it exists in this format

Difficult/impossible to use with a browser
Reviewed in the United States on 16 December 2020Verified Purchase
First-time ever leaving a bad review. It's pretty bad. Two main issues: usability, legibility. Note: I was using Amazon Read on a web-browser to access the materials and not a Kindle.
Usability: The book is impossible to navigate using a browser. Rather than indexing by page numbers, there are nearly 40,000 "locations." If you need to go back to a previous page, good luck remembering the 5-digit location number that you were originally looking at.
Legibility: The formatting for equations was not legible. The attached photo is an example of how completely messed up the online book's formatting is.
Don't buy the Kindle version. Try your best to order the paper copy if you need the text book. Disclaimer: I was using this on a browser, not on Kindle, so I can't speak to what that experience looks like.

E-book is worse than useless
Reviewed in the United States on 19 September 2020Verified Purchase
I need a copy of this book because a course has assigned some homework problems from it. Since I already have other great texts on the subject I figured I would rent the e-book. Unfortunately, the typesetting on the e-book is NOT correct which makes the homework problems a little tricky to understand. Even worse though is if someone is going to try to learn from the book, in the attached example the standard deviation of the estimate of the sample mean is well known as sigma/sqrt(n) but in the book it is presented as sigman (100500 in the image). Luckily I don't need to learn from this book...
