Excellent update

As always Nancy Caroline delivers an easy to read, informative book that's an essential read for any level ambulance crew in the UK, be they NHS, private firm or volunteer aid societies.
This book breaks subjects down into anatomy, physiology, assessment, pathophysiology and treatment in a nice, logical manner.
As a student paramedic I referenced the 2008 eedition in every piece of work during my studies and having read this book I see no reason why this wouldn't be similarly useful.
This is an essential read and while expensive it does the job of an A&P book, pathophys book and assessment book all in one package. It is very much a 'desk' book rather than one tto carry about in a kit bag though.

I ordered this for my son who has just gained a 1st class Hons degree in BioMed Science. He is now a NHS first responder for SW ambulance service and thought that this book would be very interesting and informative. He absolutely loves it. Excellent purchase. Thank you

This book is amazing! A very clear in depth book about UK paramedic practice. Clearly referenced to the UK paramedic guidelines 2013 is a great move as it allows you to understand how and why a procedure is carried out to coincide with current guidelines... effectively, you can not go wrong.
The book is HUGE! I mean, is was much much bigger than I ever expected but at 1700 pages. My main worry was that with this book, the pages would be thin to allow for the page amount, but the pages are thick and glossy! Brilliant quality.
The book has been adjusted to fit into the uk market, allowing us in the UK to apply what is in here to our own home turf.
The book i am sure will become a gold standard in Paramedic reading for students and professionals alike and is a worthwhile investment!
my only problem with this book (not the book itself mind) is that the US version as an accompanying workbook, however the UK version does not. The US workbook so I have been told by the suppliers, does not link well to this UK version of the text Shame really.
Edit: Though a great book, I can not seem to find the answer key for the Assessment in Action tests at the end of each chapter? If someone can point me towards them I would be highly grateful.
