About the authors
Brian Chanen has a B.A. in English from Williams College, an MAT in English/Education from Tufts University and Ph.D. in English from the University of Warsaw. For the past twenty five years he has taught H.S. English in international schools and has lived and worked in Italy, Egypt, Thailand, Poland, India, Laos and Vietnam. Currently he is a faculty member at British University Vietnam and associate director Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching. Brian was the Deputy Chief Examiner of Language A English, is currently paper two principal examiner and has marked all assessments in the program, served on curriculum revision and design committees, designed online workshop leader and teacher training courses, delivered workshops, and set papers for the IB exams. In addition to the course book, Brian has published papers on postmodern American literature and narrative theory in various academic journals.
