As an IT Analyst, this book is the standard. This book taught me, and then helped me work on 10+ projects. Anywhere from my senior thesis, internship, it does it all. If you work in IT, buy this book.

Absolutely Boring Subject, But An Okay Review of the Material
Reviewed in the United States on 2 October 2013Verified Purchase
My title basically sums up my feelings toward this book. I needed to have a copy of it for class, and therefore I read it quite closely. However, the book itself bored me, and I found most of the examples to be lacking anything interesting to keep my focus. Overall, at best, this book is "okay."

You pay for alot of padded writing
Reviewed in the United States on 8 October 2013Verified Purchase
I do not know much about the subject matter but the book runs on and on and there really is never a resolution to a thought. The plus side is that the book is packed full of information. If there was a visual of how everything is put together that would be also great. I am not one for dumbing down college texts and making them easier but if the author could cut a lot of the padding out of the paragraphs than it would be great. Also maybe cutting out the part about "Applying the Concepts at Tune Source," and turning it into a workbook that would help students retain the information.
