A good dictionary for understanding Sociological terms.
Reviewed in India on 13 June 2019Verified Purchase
I bought it for Rs.279. The MRP is Rs. 399.
It contains the meanings of various Sociological terms and their explanation.
Pros-
1. Almost all the important sociological terms have been given with their meaning/explanation.
2. The nuances between the terms have been taken care of.
3. The words almost synonymous to the given word have also been written after the explanation. This helps you understand the nuances between these words which are generally used in place of one another. This gives you the ability to use the correct word at the correct place.
4. The language used is not very difficult. It is of moderate level.
5. The binding of the book is good.
6. The printing is also good.
Cons-
1. The page quality is somewhat not that good.
2. The font size is also small but not too small. So you don't need to worry much,
Final comment- If you want to understand Sociology precisely, this dictionary is an indispensable tool.
However, after going through some other dictionary, I have found that 'A dictionary of Sociology' (Oxford quick reference) is better than this one. So I would recommend for Oxford dictionary as that dictionary contains more words and the explanations are also more simple.
