Teachers Discovering Computers: Integrating Technology in a Connected World

this textbook is terrific. I really enjoyed reading it and then going online to the recommended links and tutorials. I was very edgy enrolling in this course as I am an older student and not very "techosavvy". The book offers so many resources and also explained how to do several online assignments very clearly which made the course easier for me . I really like this book!

There are some real nuggets of wisdom within this textbook. Having said that, there are a number of chapters that, if you are a "digital native," will not provide much in the way of new learning. However, if you are a newcomer to technology, this textbook does a wonderful job of walking through, step-by-step, every aspect of technology and its integration into the classroom.

This is a great book for any teacher who wants to inter grate technology. I like the fact that it's set up as a textbook. It has vocabulary words listed at the end of each chapter and follow up questions. I rented it first and I ended up buying it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Tough to Complete Assignments

While I love having this text on my Kindle and iPad for ease of taking it with me on the go, it is almost impossible to complete reading assignments without asking for more information from the instructor. There is no indication to page numbers so when they assign pages 351-371 there is no way to know exactly what they want without asking. That is quite frustrating. Otherwise the direct links are great and the ability to retrieve my highlights in one central location is wonderful.

The book was needed for a college course so it was not a pleasure reading. However the quality was exceptional and the price was excellent. Glad I went with this seller.
