5.0 out of 5 stars Easy Read And Great References!
Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseLeadership: Research Findings, Practice, and Skills I had to buy this textbook for my Graduate program. I must say that my major is in Leadership so I have read many leadership books. This book, however, is one of my favorites. The book is easy to read, uses real-world scenarios as examples, and has a great section in the back of each chapter for the vocabulary words. The chapters were not excessive in length. However, my favorite part of the textbook has to be at the end of each chapter. There are great case studies to reinforce the material being taught. There are discussion questions and skill-building exercises that do not require a lot of time to complete but do provide more information adding to that chapter. A great read and a textbook I foresee myself reviewing over and over.
Regards,
~ Holley Jacobs

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book!
Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseI love this book! It is easy to understand and contain self-assessment quizzes and skill-building exercises that help evaluate what type of leader you are or will be. I also like the fact that at the end of every chapter has a leadership portfolio that can be built upon until the last chapter to form a culminative project.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Easy Read & Good Information Inside.
Verified PurchaseA lot of valuable information. The quizzes which help in assessing one's leadership style and how to develop your style are pretty neat. I still think that trial and error are essential. There is nothing that replaces the value one gains from experience alone. Of course, theory is just as important, but the experience is definitely needed to better understand the theory aspects presented by the author. This is one book that I will keep on my bookshelf for referencing at a later time.
