This is a great book for me, studying Psych research methods at honours level and I think it will take me well into postgraduate studies. My only gripe is that it doesn't work on the kindle app on my laptop like other kindle books do. It seems to need scrolling down to read each page which is a little annoying.

5.0 out of 5 stars The seminal text on multivariate methods

I used this text as a supplement to my PhD courses in multivariate statistics. Overall, I found it to be excellent and very useful to helping me understand the more advanced methods. It does an excellent job of explaining each method, including its use, assumptions, and limitations with detailed treatment of the maths at a level of application over theory, but in greater detail than other texts, such as Warner or Field. Worked examples use SPSS and SAS. Most appreciated was the clarity of explanation of each method, particularly where two methods are mathematically similar, but different in respect of the research questions asked, such as MANOVA and discriminant analysis and logistic regression, which can all be used for particular research, but become differentiated as to the exact research question asked.

5.0 out of 5 stars Standard text for any undergraduate

This book is the standard for any undergraduate wishing to understand statistics. I'm not sure about previous versions but this has everything you are likely to need in order to understand relatively simple statistics. I find some of the other statsical books slightly patronising, but this one is not.... This has nothing to do with the review but my iPad insists on using the word Sadistic when I try to type statistics, read into this what you wish.
