This book is written for university students in Great Britain. As an American way past college, it is hard for me to judge. I was hoping for more generalized information on learning. However if you are in the target audience, I can see this being very helpful.

The book is more helpful for someone who has been out of university or college and wants to prepare themselves to get knews to the pace, that they had when they where doing their very first degree. Simply because you read it and think OMG I made that mistake.....

But for new students it will benefit you as well, studying should be a challenge not hell on earth and I think this book would have helped me from the transition from school to University a lot better. Best of luck you studies.

Una delle pecche della scuola italiana, almeno dei tempi in cui la frequentavo io, è che non si insegna agli studenti come studiare, alla fine ognuno di noi ha sviluppato un proprio metodo di studio per tentativi, o dall'esperienza altrui. Questo libro è utile per chi deve affrontare un curriculum di studi o anche solo un corso, e vuole capire prima come organizzarsi. Lingua a parte (comunque l'inglese del testo è abbastanza scorrevole) è focalizzato sui sistemi scolastici anglosassoni, che a differenza dei nostri sono maggiormente incentrati sulla triade testo-lezioni-saggio/esame. Pur avendo finito l'università da tempo, l'ho trovato utile perchè molti dei consigli si possono applicare anche al normale lavoro di ufficio. Non so se esista una traduzione italiana, che consiglierei.
