Better than Netter! (yes, really, it is!)
Reviewed in the United States on 27 May 2007Verified Purchase
At our school we have an anatomist that is in his 70's and is credited for editing and correcting Netter's! He is amazing and he told us about this series. It is a three book series covering all of anatomy, but in the future they will condense this into a single book "Netter" style review. The images and illustration are unbelievable, with new and unique views that really reveal the relationships between structures. In addition, there is more teaching text and clinical imagery included that really brings concepts together. This three book series is THE reference to have on your shelf for the rest of your professional career. The musculoskeletal version would also be great for artists as well as medical students!

Thieme Muscle Anatomy
Reviewed in the United States on 26 July 2012Verified Purchase
Getting ready to start Muscle Activation Training and ordered this book for $15.00 used on Amazon. Cannot beat it for the illustrations of muscles. I love buying used when I can.
Update: Oct 2015.
I now use this as my PRIMARY reference for muscle anatomy. I've used quite a number of muscle anatomy books in the last three years and find this one to be so clear and well organized. I HIGHLY recommend this for any therapist learning muscle attachments. I can't praise this enough. And you can usually find it used!

Poor images
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 August 2012Verified Purchase
Having never seen the physical book I can't comment although I imagine it is very clear in terms of the images. Unfortunately this can not be said for the kindle version. Very grainy images with blurred labelling make this title an extreme disappointment. The content is probably fine but due to the quality I have looked elsewhere. Note: I am using the new 3rd gen retina iPad which may expose the images unfairly.

The best atlas I've seen so far in North America
Reviewed in the United States on 18 August 2011Verified Purchase
I have Sabotta, Grant's, Netter's. This is better than them all. The only one I would say is better than Thieme is the Sabotta I used to have when I was in med school in Europe. I found out that unfortunately the US version of Sabotta has a different editor and is completely different and utterly inferior.
