Schaum's Doesn't Disappoint
Reviewed in Canada on 29 October 2019Verified Purchase
I have used Dummies books in the past but found there was way too much verbiage that just confused things, unlike Schaum's that just cuts to the chase. That is the case here with multiple examples and example problems given each chapter after a brief description of the math methods. And the best part is, that unlike most (all) text books, there are answers given for EACH supplemental problem at the end of each chapter, not every odd or even question. The quality of the book paper is excellent as well and the price is way lower than most comparable texts. Occasionally there are minor errors but I haven't found a text yet that doesn't suffer from the same printing errors so I don't find this a problem. Recommended for anyone looking to give their brains some exercise or build a math foundation prior to moving on to advanced math.

Middle school student in need of tutoring
Reviewed in the United States on 21 April 2014Verified Purchase
In the school systems today, some students are frustrated because their learning style is not the same as the methods the teachers use to instruct. These students may lose confidence in their own ability as a result. The Schaum's Outline assists parents in filling the gap and allowing the student to move forward with confidence. Event though the subject matter is difficult, learning it is still an obtainable goal.
