Good quality
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 March 2021Verified Purchase
Bought this as a present for my paramedic student son, I had heard it was a useful book to have. I did not realise it was American, but the principals are the same and he has been able to use it and reference thing from it during his study. During placements qualified paramedics have stated that they had this book also. Good quality hardback book, easy to read and find information needed.

Acceptable
Reviewed in the United States on 10 July 2012Verified Purchase
Is an acceptable book. However, any EMT-I's or B's with a lot of field experience will probably be frustrated by the repetitive and long winded nature of it. Basics with little or no field experience going straight into Medic will probably want this book. Or even basics going into Intermediate. As general study though, I personally wouldn't recommend it, however, I don't regret the purchase.
It is a little bit grating that so many textbooks pander to the lowest common denominator of the group, yet expected, and there is nothing empirically wrong with the book; hence 5 stars.
Highly experienced Intermediates will likely want to skip this and go straight to raw texts.
