4.0 out of 5 stars Reasonable textbook with just enough detail
I enjoy the "At A Glance" book series as they are generally well laid out, with excellent pictures and flow diagrams to complement your learning.
Haematology At A Glance is no different. Easy-to-understand diagrams with just enough text to explain key points, this book will give you a good basic understanding of Haematology. However, I would at times have preferred more detail and thus have had to seek other textbooks. Thus, this will give you a good grounding if you have no experience of haematology, but in clinical practice the detail seems insufficient.

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing.
Well priced, and well presented. A pretty good introductory work perhaps, but as another reviewer comments, the section on transfusion seems very dated. A fair amount of recent work on platelet function that could have been discussed, and there is nothing on the rheology of blood in general. As a stop-gap,"please get me passed this exam" book, it might pass muster. Seems more of the work of a couple of academics who know their field well, but need to make some quick money off yet another edition of their text book,
