This book is very good for the researchers who want to use model in their work. Really, I don't think I have seen the book like this any before. Very simple language, very crisp and clear concept. But i think you should know a little calculus and differential equations before reading this books. There are so many examples spread ed throughout the book, that could help you a lot. I would recommend this book.

I used this book for a course in mathematical modeling. The class itself was entirely boring, however, reading the book did make it a bit more interesting. There is a lot of information in this book. I would not recommend it unless it is for a class, however.
