To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Great AIS book
Reviewed in the United States on 5 April 2012Verified Purchase
This is really a great textbook. It is almost entertaining to read because they use the same examples for several chapters at a time. Really outlines AIS. The self quizzes at the end of the chapters are really helpful and the problems are useful and not tedious.

Good
Reviewed in the United States on 4 February 2014Verified Purchase
Very good book; explanations are clear. I'm surprised this book hasn't gotten better ratings, although I suspect those who are rating it are people who have implemented or designed AIS's themselves, and that's something that I haven't yet done in my career. I used this book in an Accounting Information Systems class at UCLA Extension. We did not cover all of the chapters. The course was online, and as most online instructors don't teach very much, you have to rely on the book and auxiliary materials in order to learn what is necessary, and I'd say this book was at least average.
