Yes, very definitive!

Professor Roberts is well known through her television programs and publications as one of England's most talented scientists across a range of fields including anatomy, her focus in this beautifully illustrated and carefully organized book which gives a clear picture of the human body and how it works. Such knowledge is not merely academic; it is very useful in daily life, especially when one falls ill or suffers an injury. You don't have to be a medical doctor (Roberts is one) to appreciate knowing how the different systems--- skeletal, muscular, nervous, respiratory and so on--- overlap and function. It 's all in this book. Highly recommend!

Excellent Book on Human Anatomy
Reviewed in India on 19 October 2015Verified Purchase
Excellent piece of knowledge material with full color illustrations/pictures of Human Anatomy/Organs piece by piece, section by section. A must have for every body/family. Though parents/elders may consider disclosing its full material to children due to its mature content. Sensitive people may also consider before going through the book, due to its illustrations on internal organs. Given the size of pictures and great quality of illustrations the book is bit big and heavy.

Highly recommended.

A succinct, easy-to-read reference for those wishing to learn human anatomy. It is a large book, but despite its size the text is fairly small. However, the images are very big - they generally take up the whole page - and each part of the image is clearly labelled.
Suitable for medical students, but more so for those who want a basic outline of human anatomy.
