Kathleen B. Gaberson, PhD, RN, CNOR, CNE, ANEF, has over 35 years of teaching experience in undergraduate and graduate programmes. She is owner of and nursing education consultant for OWK Consulting, Pittsburgh, PA. She is co-author of two nursing education textbooks and author or co-author of numerous articles on nursing education and perioperative nursing topics. Dr. Gaberson has presented and consulted extensively and is former section editor of the AORN Journal and currently serves on the Board of Directors of AORN and for the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses.
Marilyn H. Oermann, PhD, RN, ANEF, FAAN, is Professor and Chair of Adult and Geriatric Health in the School of Nursing, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NC. She is author or co-author of 13 nursing education books and many articles on clinical evaluation, teaching in nursing, and writing for publications as a nurse educator. She is the Editor of the Journal of Nursing Care Quality and past Editor of the Annual Review of Nursing Education. Dr. Oermann lectures widely on teaching and evaluation in nursing.
