Come join us on our biannual coral reef trip, at Hideaway Island in Vanuatu!!

Located on the south western side of Efate Island, just 3 min by ferry from the mainland and 15 min from Port Vila. Hideaway offers a unique coral reef experience and whether you’re a diver, snorkeler or just a landlubber there is a lot for you to do. Also, we are continuously monitoring the reef and have started a coral reef regeneration program in June 2012. So, if you are interested please come along!!

This trip is run by the University of Newcastle Marine Science department. N.U.D.E.S. is not organising this trip, but we will be taking advantage of it! :)

Depart (Sydney): 10/07/16 10:45am
Return (Sydney): 17/07/16 07:00am
Cost: $2100

- Airfares
- Airport taxes
- Transport to and from airport to resort in Vanuatu
- 7 nights accommodation
- All meals
- Travel insurance
- 1 glass bottom boat trip
- Free water sports (kayaking, snorkelling)

Diving is about $55 per dive, but gets cheaper the more dives you do.

N.U.D.E.S. members are welcome to hire club equipment and bring it on this trip. This can save you quite a bit of money on hire fees at the dive resort. Tank and weights are provided with any dive so don't think you need to lug them over on the plane!

As this is a UoN Marine Science run trip, there is the possibility of assisting in coral regeneration research projects for those that are eager.

Please note that those who wish to attend this trip must contact Ken Zimmerman as soon as possible as he is the person organising this trip and it fills up fast. N.U.D.E.S is simply advertising it using a facebook event and website. I.e. by clicking "attend" on this event page means absolutely nothing. You must contact Ken.
