Constitutional Recognition for Australia’s Indigenous peoples is a topic that has seen a lot of conversation, but not a lot of momentum. Any movement towards a referendum requires an educated and informed population, especially as Treaty is now presenting itself as an alternative to Recognition. Please join the UNLSA and the Wollotuka Institute for a night of insight with a vibrant and educated panel of professionals who will address this topic. This year’s Inaugural Indigenous Insight Forum headlines the first Aboriginal to be appointed as a Federal Circuit Court Judge, an Aboriginal lawyer practising in a specialised Sydney firm dealing with Indigenous matters, and two esteemed University of Newcastle academics. Refreshments will be provided, so please join us for an evening of insight and a collegiate approach to greater cultural awareness.
