Getting a law degree isn’t an easy task. What’s even more difficult sometimes is figuring out what you want to do afterwards.

Come join us, and our guest speakers for a panel discussion on the journey after law school. Our speakers will be speaking about the career they are currently working in as well as the route they took to get there. Refreshments and drinks will be provided!

Our focus is to show the various career paths available to law graduates that don’t necessarily mean a corporate lawyer.

Our guest speakers include:

Tendayi Chivunga- An International Newcastle Law graduate who moved into a role with Legal Aid and now is with Hunter Community Legal Centre.

Elise Grist- A Newcastle Law graduate who works for Braye Cragg Solicitors

Jules Cooper- works in the Internationals, Engagement and Assurance Services,
Private Groups and High Wealth Individuals department at the Australian Taxation Office

Tim Connor- worked for Oxfam before getting involved in teaching at Newcastle

*more speakers to be confirmed
