Registration for the 2016 Herbert Smith Freehills Paper Presentation Competition has now opened! Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to write and present a legal research paper to a panel of judges, and have your work academically reviewed. Not only is this competition the ideal way to develop your research, writing and public speaking skills but it looks great on your resume and doesn’t require extensive preparation because you can use or build on a paper you have already written.

WHO: Open to all UNLSA members.

WHAT: Write a 3000 - 5000 word paper on a topic of your choice! Your topic should be (broadly) relevant to the law

DUE DATE: Papers are due Wednesday 13th April 2016 (Week 6, Semester 1). Oral Presentations will be conducted in Week 9, Semester 1.

HOW TO REGISTER: Simply complete the form available at:

SUBMISSION: Papers are to be emailed to the Directors of Competitions (Skills) at skills@unlsa.com by 9pm Wednesday 13th April 2016.

PRIZE: All competitors will receive a certificate and the chance to represent the UNLSA at the 2016 Australian Law Students’ Association Conference in Hobart!
