The UNLSA are pleased to present the annual Social Justice Forum for 2016: Navigating Mental Health in the Legal Profession

Mental Health has long been an unspoken issue within society, both in the student and professional spheres. Studies show that 68.5% of law students experience significant levels of psychological distress, compared to 42.1% in the general population (aged 18-34). The suicide and depression rate amongst Australian students has increased dramatically over the years.

The forum will discuss the importance of self awareness and mental health issues, to tackle the stigma against mental health within society. There will be speakers assisting with questions and providing advice on mechanisms to cope with mental health issues.

This is an UON ILEAD Plus sponsored event!
