Donald Trump, a fascistic billionare, will become President of the United States in January, promising to implement the most right-wing agenda in the history of this country. His opponent Hillary Clinton, the embodiment of the status quo and proven servant of Wall Street and the Pentagon, the second most-hated Presidential candidate in US history after Trump himself, was defeated first and foremost due to the collapse in voter turnout after eight years of permanet war and Democratic Party attacks on the jobs and living standards of workers.

The entire Democratic Party, from Clinton and Obama to Sanders and Warren, who two weeks ago denounced Trump as unfit to hold the Presidency, are rushing to provide political support to his incoming administration, which includes open fascists such as Stephen Bannon of Breitbart News.

How did it come to this? What is the way forward? The Democratic Party has nothing to offer the working class but war and austerity. Join us Thursday, December 1, for a discussion of a socialist strategy to end war, poverty, and the capitalist system that is the root of both.
