each week we went through different political concepts and ideologie. but it was very dry. boring theories. Who cares about them. waste of time attending class. very nonintellectual. better off doing other units.

I can say this was a great subject to anyone who never skipped lessons and any student who put effort to learn. I passed just fine

Loved it, so interesting and engaging, and assessments were quite straightforward

Boring, lectures didn't relate to assignments at all, tutes were useless and just there to get attendance marks, lecturers and tutors extremely biased to the left.

Narelle is a legend. This unit is a great way to make friends because you're constantly yelling at each other in tutes.

Although the content was relatively easy to understand and kind of relevant, the tutors and lectures at Caulfield were dismal. The tutor was barely there, and when they were, nothing meaningful occurred. The most helpful tutes were the ones online or the ones hosted by the Clayton tutors. After doing second semester politics, 1353 is bland and boring. Even having an invested interest in politics and doing it through high school didn't help. It's a pity, as politics is interesting and this is compulsory- and probably turns people away.

I liked this subject but it spends the majority of the time explaining realllly boring stuff like the foundations of democracy & mostly focusses on old white dudes writings and theories

With little to no politics knowledge prior to enrolling i found this unit very dry and difficult. Super heavy, boring lectures and I dreaded tutorials.

Hated this subject didn't do politics in VCE and it was the worst mistake to begin at Uni. Lectures the so boring and tutes were just arguing back and forth not helping understand the content only perk was no written paper exam

if you have a basic grasp of politics this subject is a bludge. dont bother if you are actively trying to learn about current politics, this will not help
