Reviews

honestly, i hated this subject so much. i stopped doing the readings because most of the tutorials were just two people arguing back and forth about something loosely related to the topic. some of the content was kind of interesting, but if you're unsure about this unit i'd definitely give it a miss.

Discussions in tutorials are dry and the lecturers/teachers can be a bit too laid back (had to actively seek out and receive my grade for the very first assignment a month after it had been submitted). There's a lot of online tutorials however so it's a great class to take if you really don't want to have to be at school..

I think to truly enjoy this unit you must be passionate about politics not just vaguely interested like I was or else you find yourself dreading the tutes (well at least I did). It is VERY THEORETICAL but does cover different aspects of politics well, pairs great with IR. Also the unit dedicates lecture time to help students approach the assignments which is excellent!

Great subject! A little dry at points, but the lecturers make it bearable, if not fun.
